September 16, 2009 Opinion or Order Filing 70 OPINION AND ORDER pursuant to 69 Joint Stipulation of the parties, the Court finds that Sedrice Maurice Simpson is mentally retarded under Atkins, and that the death sentences should be changed to two terms of life imprisonment in the Arkansas Dep artment of Correction, without the possibility of parole, and IT IS SO ORDERED; the two death sentences imposed are VACATED; Simpson's Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus 1 is therefore GRANTED; judgment will be entered accordingly.
