IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, ADJUDGED, and DECREED that: (1) Judgment is entered in favor of Plaintiffs in the amount of $105,000.00 plus interest against Defendants Hollywood Enterprises, Inc., dba Kar Nak (aka Karnak) and Mina Lim. Defendants have willfully infringed Plaintiffs respective copyrights. Accordingly, Plaintiffs are hereby awarded statutory damages in the amount of $5000.00 per act of willful copyright infringement, for a total of $105,000.00 plus interest. Interest will be calculated in accordance with 28 USC section1961(a). (2) Judgment for attorneys' fee is entered in favor of Plaintiffs in the amount of $5,700.00, in accordance with Local Rule 55-3, against Defendants. (3) Judgment for costs is entered in favor of Plaintiffs in the amount of $483.25 against Defendants. (4) Pursuant to 17 USC section 502, Defendants, their respective subsidiaries,affiliates, divisions, officers, directors, principals, servants, employees, successors and assigns, and all those in active concert or participation with them, or under their direct or indirect control who receive notice of this Judgment, are hereby enjoined, restrained. MINUTES IN CHAMBERS: ORDER by Judge Beverly Reid O'Connell: The Court finds that entry of default judgment against Defendants is warranted and accordingly GRANTS Plaintiffs' Motion for Default Judgment with respect to liability, costs, and Plaintiffs proposed injunctive relief. Plaintiffs' request for statutory damages of $3,150,000 and post-judgment interest is GRANTED in part. As discussed above, the Court finds the requested amount of statutory damages excessive and accordingly exercises its discretion to award an amount of $5,000 per act of infringement, for a total of $105,000 plus interest. Finally, the Court GRANTS in part Plaintiffs' request for attorneys' fees and awards an amount of $5,700 in accordance with Local Rule 55-3. Plaintiffs are ORDERED to lodge a proposed judgment consistent with this Order no later than December 8, 2014. The hearing set for December 1, 2014 is VACATED #23 (rfi)
