Guilford: For these and other reasons, the Court GRANTS Sovereign's motion to stay proceedings. But the length of the stay remains an issue. Perhaps it should extend to the requested date of August 12, 2019. But that depends on scheduling set in state court whose certainty can't be determined by this Court. Further, a stay should not be a time to cease settlement discussions. Various nuances in this case add complexity, but also create unique opportunities for settlement. Therefore, the Court SETS a status conference on June 17, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. to determine how this matter is progressing and when the stay should end. The Court will be particularly interested in whether good faith is shown in settlement discussions.
