January 25, 2023 Opinion or Order ORDER entered by David J. Barron, Chief Appellate Judge. Petitioner-appellant Jorge Fernandez Martinez seeks the appointment of counsel in this habeas proceeding. The motions for the appointment of counsel, received by the court on December 15, 2022, and December 30, 2022, are denied . A briefing schedule will be set in the ordinary course. Martinez may inform this court, in writing and by the deadline ultimately set for his opening brief, if he wishes to rely on one or more filings in the district court, with or without supplementation, as his appellate brief. Martinez also seeks to seal the motion received by the court on December 15, 2022. That request is granted . By letter dated January 9, 2023, Martinez requests that a second filing be sealed; however, Martinez does not identify the relevant filing with sufficient specificity. The sealing request is denied without prejudice to reassertion with more specificity. A copy of the appellate docket sheet is enclosed with this order. Martinez may renew his sealing request with a motion specifically identifying the docket items that would be sealed. Any requests that district court filings be sealed should be filed in the district court. [22-1911] (GB) [Entered: 01/25/2023 04:23 PM]
