ORDER: 1. Motion for the appointment of counsel, filed on 4/20/2026. 2. Motion for the appointment of counsel, filed on 5/24/2026. 3. Appellant's declaration, filed on 4/28/2026. The motions to recruit counsel are DENIED. See Pruitt v. Mote, 503 F.3d 647 (7th Cir. 2007) (en banc); Farmer v. Haas, 990 F.2d 319, 321 (7th Cir. 1993). The panel assigned to hear the case may recruit counsel if it finds that step appropriate. Briefing in this case shall proceed as follows: Appellant's brief due on or before 06/22/2026 for Manuel Antonio Herrera Hernandez. Appellees' brief due on or before 07/21/2026 for Brady Erieau, Carol Kopp, Roberta Longsine, Jody Maloney, Christopher Melland, Rylee Peterson, Dave Rosenfeldt and Mary Ruechel. Appellant's reply brief, if any, is due on or before 08/11/2026 for Appellant Manuel Antonio Herrera Hernandez. Additionally, On April 28, 2026, this court received a declaration from appellant Manuel Antonio Herrera Hernandez stating that he had mailed documents to the clerk in the district court, but those documents were never filed on the docket. If Herrera believes one or more documents have not been filed properly he should file a motion in the district court to expand the record under Federal Rule of Appellate Procedure 10(e). He should then wait for the district judge to act on that request before seeking further relief in the court of appeals.
