Filing 7 Filed clerk order (Deputy Clerk: DA): The notice of appeal filed in the district court on April 18, 2022 challenges the district courts March 16, 2022 post-judgment order. A review of the record indicates that defendant-appellant David Gilbert Saffron signed the April 18, 2022 notice of appeal on behalf of himself and corporate appellant Circle Society, Corp. A corporation must be represented by an attorney admitted to practice before this court. See In re Highley, 459 F.2d 554, 555 (9th Cir. 1972). Within 21 days after the date of this order, Circle Society, Corp. shall retain counsel for the corporation, who shall file a notice of appearance in this court, or otherwise show cause why this appeal should not be dismissed as to Circle Society, Corp. See D-Beam Ltd. P'ship v. Roller Derby Skates, Inc., 366 F.3d 972, 974 (9th Cir. 2004) (Though a corporate officer's signing the notice of appeal does not render that notice invalid, all subsequent motions and pleadings must be filed by counsel.). If appellant Circle Society, Corp. fails to comply with this order, the appeal will be dismissed as to Circle Society Corp. automatically by the Clerk under Ninth Circuit Rule 42-1. The briefing schedule for this appeal No. 22-15571 is stayed pending further order of the court. [12474684] (JBS) [Entered: 06/17/2022 04:53 PM] |
