MINUTE ORDER: This matter is before the court on #11 Defendant's Response to the court's Order for Plaintiff to Show Cause why this matter should not be dismissed for lack of subject matter jurisdiction dated September 2, 2020 [#10]. Plaintiff responds that an Amended Complaint, filed August 30, 2020, "contain[s] the information requested by the Court." [#11 at 1]. While the court inadvertently did not account for the Amended Complaint [#2], upon review, it appears that the Amended Complaint does not address both issues identified by the Order to Show Cause. Although the Amended Complaint addresses the court's concerns regarding Plaintiff's citizenship, it does not address the corporate Defendant's state(s) of incorporation as specifically directed by the court. [#10 at 2]. Therefore, Plaintiff shall respond in writing to the courts Order to Show Cause [#10] on or before September 15, 2020, as to Defendant's state(s) of incorporation. In light of the manner by which Plaintiff's Notice of Filing Its First Amended Complaint was filed as a single aggregated document, #2 , the Clerk of the Court is DIRECTED to file the Amended Complaint, [#2 at 18-24], as the operative pleading in this case.
