Set Deadline: Show Cause Response due by 4/5/2023. (Velez, F.) |
Filing 7 ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE. Under 28 U.S.C. section 1915(e), courts are required to dismiss any action that is frivolous or that fails to state a claim upon which relief can be granted. The complaint seems to allege that the defendants have used unlawful tactics to deprive Plaintiff of her assets and her rights, but it is not clear what rights were infringed or what assets taken, or even the events leading to the deprivation. The court cannot discern a cognizable claim in the allegations. Moreover, it is not clear that, even if there is a cognizable claim, federal jurisdiction is proper. Therefore, Plaintiff is instructed to show cause on or before April 5, 2023, why this case should not be dismissed. Failure to comply with this order will result in dismissal of the action. It is so ordered. Signed by Judge Omar A. Williams on 03/08/23. (Codeanne, K.) |
