MINUTE ORDER: Granting #2 Defendant Pioneer Roofing Systems, Inc.'s Motion for Protective Order. Discovery is hereby stayed until the parties meet and confer pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 26(f). The parties are hereby ordered to meet and confer and propose a schedule for proceeding with this case. If discovery is not necessary, the parties shall file a joint status report by 3/24/23 proposing a briefing schedule. When proposing deadlines, the parties shall avoid proposing a schedule that contains submission of simultaneous dispositive cross-motions. Any joint status report shall be accompanied by a proposed order. To the extent discovery is necessary, by 3/24/23 the parties shall file a Report of the Parties' Planning Meeting, pursuant to Rule 26(f) and Local Civil Rule 16.3. The Report shall include a proposed Scheduling Order consistent with the sample Scheduling Order found on Judge Chutkan's court webpage, along with any proposed changes which shall be highlighted. On the same day that the parties file their Rule 26 report and proposed Scheduling Order, they shall also email a Word version of the proposed order to the court. In addition to the requirements under the Federal and Local Rules, the parties' report shall contain a succinct summary of the case and the statutory basis for all causes of action and defenses.
