WALT DISNEY PARKS AND RESORTS US INC v. DESANTIS et al
Plaintiff Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. filed a complaint for declaratory and injunctive relief against Defendants Governor Ronald D. DeSantis, Acting Secretary of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity Meredity Ivey, Board Chair of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Martin Garcia, Board Members of the Central Tourism Oversight District Michael Sasso, Brian Aungst, Jr., Ron Peri, and Bridget Ziegler and Administrator of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District John Classe. Plaintiff alleged that defendants violated the Contracts Clause, Takings Clause, Due Process Clause and First Amendment by interfering with its contracts with the Reedy Creek Improvement District in retaliation for its protected speech about Florida House Bill 1557.
