TEXT ORDER entered by Chief Judge Sara Darrow on May 13, 2022. Plaintiff People of the State of Illinois has filed a #3 motion to remand this case to state court. Defendant 3M Company's response is currently due May 13, 2022. Defendant has filed a motion to transfer this case to a multi-district litigation proceeding before the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation ("JPML"). See #5 Not. MDL Transfer Mot. 1. Defendant now files a #6 stipulation regarding case deadlines, indicating that the parties have agreed to extend the deadline for Defendant to respond to the #3 motion to remand to May 20, 2022 and to extend the deadline for Defendant to respond to the [1-1] complaint to after the motions pending before this Court and the JPML are resolved. #6 Stipulation 2. The #6 stipulation, construed as a motion, is GRANTED. Defendant's response to the #3 motion to remand is now due May 20, 2022. Defendant's answer or other response to the [1-1] complaint is now due 14 days after this Court resolves the #3 motion to remand or the JPML resolves the motion to transfer, whichever occurs later. Defendant is DIRECTED to file a status report with the Court within 7 days of the JPML's decision, informing the Court of the JPML's decision. (AAK)
