October 3, 2019 Filing 11 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Edmond E. Chang: Upon review of the complaint and the notice of removal, the Court makes the following jurisdictional inquiry. Defendant premises jurisdiction on diversity of citizenship, 28 U.S.C. 1332. Defendant sets forth the LLC's for diversity jurisdiction is its place of incorporation and principal place of business. But an LLC's citizenship is not like a corporation's; instead an LLC is a citizen of every state where its members are citizens. Wise v. Wachovia Securities, LLC, 450 F.3d 265, 267 (7th Cir. 2006). The corporate disclosure statement does not contain the information. So Defendant shall promptly file a Jurisdictional Memorandum. This will be discussed at tomorrow's status hearing.
