Filing 17 MINUTE entry before the Honorable Andrea R. Wood: Defendant City of Chicago's first motion for an extension of time to file responsive pleadings #16 is granted. All Defendants shall have until 2/4/2021 to answer or otherwise respond to the complaint. In granting this motion, the Court has considered Plaintiffs' position regarding Defendant's obligation to assist in identifying the unnamed officers involved in the 10/3/2019 incident. Given that this is Defendant's first request for an extension, the reasons offered for the request, and the relatively modest amount of additional time requested, the Court does not feel is it necessary to make the extension contingent Defendant's agreement to identify and disclose the officers' identities. Nonetheless, the Court expects Defendant to work diligently toward identifying the unnamed officers and fulfill all of its discovery obligations with respect to the same. Telephonic initial status conference set for 1/26/2021 remains firm. Mailed notice (dal, ) |
