June 14, 2021 Opinion or Order Filing 9 ORDER: The Court dismissed pro se plaintiff Agwu O.A. Mong's complaint under 42 U.S.C. 1983 because he had not sued any individuals but had sued only the Chicago Police Department and the 15th District Police Station. The Court explained that neither of these entities are suable and that Mr. Mong must sue the individuals personallyresponsible for the alleged violation of his constitutional rights. Mr. Mong has now filed an amended complaint, but he again names only the 15th District Police Station as a defendant. The Court repeats its earlier ruling: a police station is not a suable entity. Mr. Mong must sue the individuals who he claims violated his rights. The Courttherefore dismisses the amended complaint and will give Mr. Mong just one morechanceuntil July 6, 2021to file a proper amended complaint naming properdefendants. If he does not do so, the Court will enter final judgment against him. The Clerk is directed to mail plaintiff an amended complaint form for a complaint for violation of constitutional rights. Signed by the Honorable Matthew F. Kennelly on 6/14/2021. Mailed notice. (mma, )
