ORDER: The Court received $400.00 from Plaintiff shortly after he submitted his complaint in this matter, but effective December 1, 2020, the filing fee increased to $402.00. A review of the Court's records also reveals that Plaintiff owes $600.00 in outstanding filing fees in this district: $250.00 in Taylor v. Sheahan, No. 06 C 2208 (N.D. Ill.); and $350.00 in Taylor v. Rodriguez, No. 07 C 544 (N.D. Ill.). Plaintiff settled those cases (and several others), yet the filing fees remain unpaid. "[E]veryone allowed to proceed in forma pauperis owes the fees and must pay when able." Lewis v. Sullivan, 279 F.3d 526, 529 (7th Cir. 2002). Plaintiff therefore must pay the $2.00 he owes toward the filing fee in this case as well as his outstanding fees. He must do so by October 15, 2021. He may pay by check or money order payable to Clerk, United States District Court. He should mail payment to Clerk, United States District Court, 219 South Dearborn Street, Chicago, Illinois 60604, attn: Cashier's Desk. Alternatively, he may explain in writing and under oath why he should be allowed to proceed with this lawsuit while his debt to the Court remains unpaid. The Court defers its initial review of Plaintiff's complaint under 28 U.S.C. 1915A and its consideration of Plaintiff's motion for attorney representation until Plaintiff resolves his fee issues. MINUTE entry before the Honorable John Robert Blakey: This case has been assigned to the calendar of the Honorable John Robert Blakey. The litigants are ordered to review and fully comply with all of this Court's standing orders, which are available on Judge Blakey's information page on the Court's official website: http://www.ilnd.uscourts.gov/. In addition, the parties must file a status report no later than 9/24/2021, using the model template set forth in this Court's standing order regarding Initial (or Reassignment) Status Conferences. Failure by any party to file the status report by the requisite deadline (either jointly or, if necessary, individually with an explanation as to why a joint report could not be filed) may result in a summary dismissal of the case for failure to prosecute, or an entry of default against any served defendant(s) failing to comply with this order. During the litigation, the attorneys must also appear at all hearing dates set by the Court or noticed by the parties. If an attorney has a conflict with a set court date, the attorney must notify Judge Blakey's Courtroom Deputy, Gloria Lewis, at (312) 818-6699. If appropriate, the Court will then reset the matter.
