The parties propose nine months of discovery after a ruling on the motion to dismiss (if denied). The Court will permit six months of discovery. All discovery is stayed pending a ruling on the motion to dismiss. The parties have engaged in settlement discussions, but are at an impasse. Plaintiff seeks a settlement conference, but Defendant wants a ruling on the motion to dismiss. The parties must meet and confer about settlement one week after the filing of the motion to dismiss. The parties must file a status report two weeks after the filing of the motion to dismiss. The parties must provide an update, including whether the parties seek a settlement conference. Counsel must read the Standing Order entitled "Initial Status Conferences and Joint Initial Status Reports" on the Court's website. The parties must confer as required by Rule 26(f) about the nature, scope, and duration of discovery. The parties must submit two documents to the Court.
