Pallmeyer: In his amended complaint, Plaintiff Cordarro Dorsey alleges that "On several occasions, with several CPD districts, [he has been] subject to exessive [sic] force, false arrest, malicious prosecution, unlawful search and seizure,damage to property and retaliation stemming from unlawful traffic stops, improper procedures and abuse of power." Mr. Dorsey names as Defendants the City of Chicago, the Chicago Police Department, and 11 individual police officers. In its current form, the complaint is inadequate, as it does not identify any specific dates, times, or locations of any unlawful conduct, nor does it identify which of the 11 individual defendants were involved in any particular incident. Without such information, the complaint does not give of the individual officers fair notice of the nature of Mr. Dorsey's claims or the grounds for such claims. Mr. Dorsey has leave to file an amended complaint within 21 days, identifying specific instances on which his rights were violated, and identifying the individual[s] involved. Mr. Dorsey is again urged to seek assistance from the court's Pro Se Help Desk. Mailed notice. (cp, )

MINUTE entry before the Honorable Rebecca R. Pallmeyer: Plaintiff Cordarro T. Dorsey alleges that he was the victim of an unlawful stop and search by three Chicago Police Officers. The only entity named as a Defendant the Chicago Police Department is not a suable entity, however. Mr. Dorsey is directed to file an amended complaint within 14 days in which he names a supervising official as a Defendant for purposes of discovery of the names of the individual officers who allegedly violated his rights.
