November 12, 2024 Filing 9 ENTERED JUDGMENT. Mailed notice. (cp, )
November 12, 2024 Opinion or Order Filing 8 ORDER: Thornhill's motion for leave to proceed in forma pauperis #3 is denied without prejudice. Thornhill must either pay the $405.00 filing fee or submit a proper IFP application by December 13, 2024. Failure to do so may result in an order limiting Thornhill's ability to pursue litigation in this District. Thornhill's pending removal request is frivolous, and this case is remanded to the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court, Ogle County, Illinois. Additional efforts to pursue frivolous litigation in this court may result in the imposition of sanctions. Pursuant to Glaus v. Anderson, 408 F.3d 382, 389 (7th Cir. 2005), Thornhill is advised: (1) that the court is not making a decision on the merits of his claims seeking monetary relief; (2) he may refile only his monetary claim in a new lawsuit immediately under the proper title of a civil rights suit under 42 U.S.C. 1983, subject to the normal rules such as the prohibition on frivolous filings; and (3) a new civil rights suit is governed by the requirements of the Prison Litigation Reform Act. Any other pending motions are moot. The Clerk is instructed to close this case number on the Court's docket. [See Statement]. Signed by the Honorable Rebecca R. Pallmeyer on 11/12/2024. Mailed notice. (cp, )
