April 10, 2019 Opinion or Order Filing 18 ORDER DENYING Plaintiff's Motion to Determine Potential Conflict of Interest (Doc. #15 ): Attorney Alex Darcy moves the Court to determine whether the undersigned should recuse herself from this case because Attorney Darcy clerked for the law firm Carr Korein in 1992 and occasionally performed research and clerical tasks for the firm's attorneys - including the undersigned. Canon 3(c)(1) of the Code of Judicial Conduct for United States Judges provides that a judge shall disqualify herself in a proceeding in which the judge's impartiality might be reasonably questioned. See Code of Conduct for U.S. Judges Canon 3(c), 2019. Here, no reasonable person can conclude that the undersigned's impartiality could be reasonably questioned because Attorney Darcy performed occasional legal research for the undersigned while she was in private practice over 27 years ago.
