TEXT-ONLY ORDER: Currently pending before the Court is Defendant Ford Motor Co.'s motion to compel arbitration of the claims of the newly added putative class representative from New Jersey. #118 Those claims are set forth in an addendum to the second amended complaint. #111 Ford seeks a stay in responding to those allegations until the Court has ruled on the motion to compel. #120 The primary bases: the Court's ruling may obviate the need for a response and Ford should not be required to participate in litigation that arbitration may preclude. Plaintiffs oppose the motion. #126 Their arguments are not persuasive. And the Court will endeavor to rule on the motion to compel as quickly as possible after it is fully briefed to minimize any undue prejudice.
