ORDER endorsed on doc.# 54 : Defendants Garcia and Castro, who answered Vickers' Second Amended Complaint, request that all discovery be stayed pending the outcome of the motion to dismiss. The Honorable Jack B. Weinstein referred that request to me. The Court grants defendants' 54 request and stays discovery pending the outcome of defendants' motion to dismiss Southerland's claims and Vickers' claims against the City of New York. SO ORDERED. ORDER: Accordingly, plaintiffs' 45 motion to amend is granted in part and denied in part. The Clerk of Court shall file plaintiffs' 46 proposed second amended complaint. The named defendants, except for the Bronx County District Attorne y's Office, shall respond to the second amended complaint by 5/28/2010. Defendants shall respond to the amended complaint as they deem appropriate. Defendants' 49 motion to stay discovery pending the resolution of plaintiffs' motion to amend is denied as moot. However, the Court will consider any request to extend the discovery deadline once defendants respond to the second amended complaint. SO ORDERED. ORDER: The Court held an initial pretrial conference pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 16 on 1/27/2010, and directed defendants' counsel to provide plaintiffs with initial disclosures by 2/5/2010. The Court set 4/30/2010 as the deadline for the partie s to complete all discovery. Any request to amend the complaint, including any request to join other parties, shall be made by 2/26/2010. Before requesting the Court's assistance regarding a discovery dispute, the parties must make a good faith effort to resolve the dispute with one another. Defendants shall contact Judge Weinstein to request a pre-motion conference by 5/31/2010 if they intend to move for summary judgment. SO ORDERED.
