ORDER: The motion for extension of time to file #5 is resolved as follows: "Rule 4(m)... applies to removed cases after the date of removal." G.G.G. Pizza, Inc. v. Domino's Pizza, Inc., 67 F. Supp. 2d 99, 102 (E.D.N.Y. 1999) (quotations omitted). "Where, as here, the complaint was filed in state court and then removed, the 90 days begins to run at the time the action is removed to federal court. Lau v. Am. Eagle Outfitters, No. 17-CV-6055, 2017 WL 6987996, at *3 (S.D.N.Y. Dec. 1, 2017) (quotations omitted), report and recommendation adopted, 2018 WL 461102 (Jan. 16, 2018). Therefore, Rule 4(m) provides that Plaintiff has 90 days to serve his complaint from the date of removal, namely 3/25/2020. Plaintiff, therefore, shall serve the summons and Complaint on each Defendant by 6/23/2020. Each Defendant shall file an answer or otherwise respond to the Complaint within 21 days of service of process. Defendant Desert Palace, LLC, d/b/a Caesars Palace (sued as Caesars Palace, LLC) shall serve a copy of this Order on Plaintiff, who is proceeding pro se. So Ordered by Magistrate Judge Sanket J.
