OPINION AND ORDER re: 22 MOTION for Leave to File Amended Petition filed by Ariel Diaz Vargas. The motion for leave to file an amended petition is GRANTED. The Clerk of the Court is respectfully directed to terminate the motion. Doc. 22. The parties are hereby directed to submit joint or separate letters informing the Court as to (i) the current status of Petitioner's removal proceeding, and (ii) whether the parties require further opportunity to brief the merits of the hab eas petition, since the bulk of the briefing to date preceded the Second Circuit's decision in Lora.
