TRANSFER ORDER: Under Title 28, United States Code, Section 1404(a), a district court has discretion to transfer venue to any other district where a case might have been brought "[f]or the convenience of parties and witnesses, in the interest of justice." 28 U.S.C. 1404(a); see, e.g., New York Marine and General Ins. Co. v. Lafarge North America, Inc., 599 F.3d 102, 112 (2d Cir. 2010) (discussing the factors to be considered in determining whether to transfer venue). Substantially for the reasons set forth in the parties' memorandum of law, the Court exercises its discretion under Section 1404(a) to transfer this case to the Northern District of California. In light of that, the initial pretrial conference scheduled for September 9, 2021, is hereby canceled. The Clerk of Court is directed to transfer this action to the Northern District of California forthwith that is, immediately and notwithstanding Local Rule 83.1 and then to close the case in this Court.
