ORDER signed by JUDGE CATHERINE C. EAGLES on 5/18/2021 as set out herein. No later than June 30, 2021, the parties shall file a Joint Status Report. Upon review of the Joint Status Report, the Magistrate Judge will decide if an initial pretrial conference is needed and if so, whether it will be conducted in person or remotely. The case will be referred to mediation, and the parties shall advise the Court in the Joint Status Report of their agreed-upon mediator or their failure to agree. Defense counsel shall provide a copy of this Order to the mediator, whether selected or appointed. The Court directs the mediator to hold an initial mediated settlement conference no later than August 13, 2021. If the initial mediation is unsuccessful, the mediator shall conduct additional mediated settlement conferences by January 18, 2022; one month before trial; and otherwise as the mediator believes may be productive.
