Minutes of proceedings [non-document] On March 15, 2021, the Court held a Zoom Case Management Conference ("CMC") attended by Plaintiff Christi Walters; Plaintiff's counsel Kevin Roddy, Daniel Bass, Dennis Murray, and Margaret Murray; Defendants' representatives Joe Hajai and Allen Motter; and Defendants' counsel Scott Baker, Christopher Carney, Christopher Eckhart, E. Ashley Paynter, and Kerri Keller. The Court gathered relevant facts and discussed Judge Rogers' order granting Defendants' motion to transfer venue. The Court instructed the parties to review relevant Ninth Circuit precedent, as discussed, to determine whether this case is preempted. The Court encouraged the parties to engage in settlement discussions and determine whether the parties would be interested in Zoom mediation. The Court continued the Zoom CMC for April 23, 2021, at 3 pm ET. Counsel and clients are required to attend, and Zoom instructions will be provided.
