October 30, 2019 Filing 16 TEXT ORDER overruling, after de novo review, Petitioner Wilfred Farrior, Jr.'s #15 Objection to the Report and Recommendation. The deadline for filing objections to the #7 Report and Recommendation was October 24, 2019. As of October 29, 2019, the Court had received no objections and entered an #12 Order adopting the Report and Recommendation after clear error review. On October 30, 2019, the Court became aware that Petitioner erroneously mailed his objection to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. (See ECF No. 15-1.) In an abundance of caution, the Court has conducted de novo review of Petitioner's objection and the portion of the Report and Recommendation with which he takes issue. (See ECF No. 15 at 3.) In truth, Petitioner's objection merely incorporates a section of argument contained in his "Memorandum of Law" wherein he argues that he cannot be charged with conspiracy because the person to whom he sold crack was a government informant. (See id.) The objection is without merit and fails to displace the sound reasoning of the Magistrate Judge. Accordingly, the objection is overruled and the Order adopting the Report and Recommendation stands. Signed by Honorable Bruce Howe Hendricks on 10/30/2019. (bgoo)
