NOTICE OF DEFICIENCY AND ORDER OF SEVERANCE: The 13 state cases are hereby ordered SEVERED into 13 separate federal actions. The Clerk of the Court is DIRECTED to open a separate federal case for each of the 12 state cases identified in the Notice of Removal at documents 1-4, 1-5, 1-6, 1-7, 1-8, 1-9, 1-10, 1-11, 1-12, 1-13, 1-14, 1-15. The defendants are ORDERED to, within 7 days of the date of this order: (1) Pay the full filing fee for each of the new 12 federal cases, and (2) File a separate amended notice of removal in each of the 13 cases that (a) complies with the requirements of 28 U.S.C. 1446 and Local Civil Rule 81.1 for that specific case, and (b) addresses when each defendant received a copy of the complaint and was served with summons for that specific case. The plaintiff is ORDERED to advise the Court in writing whether he objects to removal and moves for remand based on the timeliness of removal, or on any other procedural or jurisdictional grounds, no later than 9/2/2020 (the thirtieth day after the filing of the defendants' Notice of Removal).
