** TEXT ONLY ORDER ** On May 12, 2021, the court held a telephonic status conference. All parties were represented by counsel. In consultation with the parties, the court set jury selection and trial for October 31, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. and set a dispositive motion filing deadline of May 31, 2022. We forewent any additional scheduling at this time, waiting for matters to play out a bit further in the state's criminal prosecution of defendant Duvick. In that regard, the court directed the parties promptly to apprise the court of any events or occurrences relevant to what needs to happen in this civil lawsuit, and promptly to request any additional court action, scheduling-related or otherwise. Finally, the court opened discovery without limitation, trusting the parties to focus their front-end requests efficiently.
