August 29, 2013 Opinion or Order Filing 17 ORDER: According to Defendants' Notice of Removal, this Court has diversity jurisdiction over this action pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1441(a) because: defendant Port Imperial Ferry Corp. is incorporated and has its principal place of business and its headquarters in New Jersey; plaintiff is a resident of the State of New York; and the amount in controversy is more than $75,000-plaintiff is seeking $25 million in damages. Therefore, despite the assertions made by Plaintiffin his Motion to Remand, the Court finds that removal by defendants to this Court was proper.
