TEXT ORDER - The Court set this matter for a telephone conference on to discuss plaintiff PNC Bank's citizenship. (Doc. 2 ). Technical difficulties prevented the telephone conference from going forward. PNC Bank has since submitted by email information pertaining to its principal place of business, but a national bank like PNC Bank is a "citizen of the State in which its main office, as set forth in its articles of association, is located." Wachovia Bank v. Schmidt, 546 U.S. 303, 307 (2006); see (Doc. 2 ). The Court SETS this matter for a telephone conference at 11:30 AM on January 9, 2019 to discuss the citizenship of PNC Bank. TEXT ORDER PNC Bank, N.A. has filed this breach of contract action against HomeTown Lenders, Inc. (Doc. #1 ). PNC Bank alleges it is a national bank and asserts diversity jurisdiction under 28 U.S.C. 1332. National banks shall... be deemed citizens of the States in which they are respectively located. 28 U.S.C. 1348. For 1348 purposes, [a national bank] is a citizen of the State in which its main office, as set forth in its articles of association, is located. Wachovia Bank v. Schmidt, 546 U.S. 303, 307 (2006); see also Arthur v. JP Morgan Chase Bank, NA, 569 Fed. Appx 669, 673 (11th Cir. 2014) (For purposes of section 1348, a national bank is located in the place where it is designated to have its main office.) (citing Wachovia Bank, 546 U.S. at 318). PNC Bank alleges that it is a national bank whose parent is a Pennsylvania corporation and whose principal place of business is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (Doc. #1 , 1).
