August 28, 2023 Opinion or Order Filing 4 AMENDED PETITION for Writ of Habeas Corpus, filed by Rafael Llovera.(AKD)
August 1, 2023 Opinion or Order Filing 3 ORDER - The court has received a handwritten "Notice to Forward Information" from Rafael Llovera, together with an application to proceed in forma pauperis that includes a certified copy of Llovera's jail account statements. (Docs. #1 and #2 ). The court GRANTS the IFP application, which the court is satisfied demonstrated Llovera's indigency. The "Notice to Forward Information" was docketed as a petition brought under 28 U.S.C. 2254. Llovera states in the petition that he did not know about seven criminal cases pending against him in Cullman County, Alabama, until July 19, 2023, and seems to ask the court to review the cases and issue an injunction against them. Absent additional information suggesting why Llovera believes review is warranted, this court cannot provide the relief requested. The court therefore ORDERS that within 30 days Llovera must file an amended habeas petition using the court's standard form for habeas actions. Signed by Magistrate Judge Staci G Cornelius on 8/1/2023. (Attachments: #1 2254 Habeas Petition) (MEB2)
