February 8, 2024 Opinion or Order Filing 2 ORDER The petitioner filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 2241. (Doc. 1). The petition stands deficient for the following reason: The petitioner has not filed an application to proceed in forma pauperis or paid the filing fee of $5. The petitioner must file an application to proceed in forma pauperis or pay the filing fee of $5 to the Clerk of Court. If the petitioner files an application to proceed in forma pauperis, she must sign the application and attach a certified copy of her jail or prison account statements for the last six months. The petitioner must correct this deficiency within 30 days. If she does not correct the deficiency by this deadline, the court may dismiss this action for want of prosecution without further notice under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(b). The Clerk of Court is DIRECTED to serve a copy of the form application to proceed in forma pauperis on the petitioner along with this order.
