Filing 21 MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS - COURT ORDER by Judge Percy Anderson. Plaintiff Aasir Azzarmi ("Plaintiff"), who is appearing pro se, sent an email to the Court's Deputy Clerk in which he states that he has attached "a letter motion in Opposition to Defendant Delta's Improper Removal from Los Angeles Superior Court and request for Remand back to Los Angeles Superior Court." Plaintiff asks the Deputy Clerk to "[p]lease submit" the Motion to the Court. Plaintiff may not simply email a Motion to the Deputy Clerk for filing. Pursuant to the Local Rules: "Unless otherwise ordered by the Court..., pro se litigants shall continue to present all documents to the Clerk for filing in paper format." Local Rule 5-4.2(a)(1). Because the Court has not "otherwise ordered," Plaintiff must submit documents to the Clerk in paper format. Plaintiff's email to the Deputy Clerk therefore violates Local Rule 5-4.2(a)(1). The Court therefore will not accept Plaintiff's Motion to Remand for filing based on his email to the Deputy Clerk. (See document for full details) (mrgo) |
