MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS - ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE by Judge Percy Anderson. Before the Court is a Complaint filed by plaintiff Todd Hurvitz ("Plaintiff") on behalf of himself and a putative class. The Complaint asserts claims for various privacy-related intrusions allegedly committed by defendants Zoom Video Communications, Inc., ("Zoom"), Facebook, and LinkedIn Corporation ("LinkedIn") (collectively "Defendants"). The Complaint seeks to obtain relief on behalf of a nationwide class, a subclass consisting of various states, and a California subclass, arising out of the alleged sharing of information between Zoom, Facebook, and LinkedIn. (SEE DOCUMENT FOR DETAILS). To assist the Court in determining whether transfer is appropriate and in the interest of justice, the parties are directed to address the following, in addition to sharing their positions as to which forum is more convenient for the parties and witnesses: (see document for list). Plaintiff is ordered to personally serve a copy of this Order on any defendant that has already been served with the Complaint within three (3) court days of the date of this Order or at the time of service for any defendant that has not already been served. Plaintiff is ordered to file his Response to this Order no later than April 27, 2020. Defendants may file a Response no later than May 11, 2020, or at the time they respond to the Complaint.
