According to the parties' Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 26(f) Joint Report, "Defendants anticipate filing a Motion for Summary Judgment on issue of claim preclusion based upon the settlement and dismissal of a prior infringement case between the same parties in this court involving the same copyright. (United States District Court Case No. 2.19-cv-10854-GW-AS filed December 27, 2019.)" As indicated in the Rule 26(f) Joint Report, that prior action and this action involve the same parties and one of the two copyrights at issue in that action, plaintiff's design SP 600, with a copyright registration of VA 2-146-117. (See document for details). Because this action appears to satisfy one or more of the standards for finding this action "related" to the prior actions, the parties are ordered to show cause why they should not file a Notice of Related Case as required by Local Rule 83-1.3 indicating that this action is related to Case No. CV 19-10854 GW (ASx).
