| Filing 17 MINUTES (IN CHAMBERS) by Judge Otis D. Wright, II: On January 24, 2022, Plaintiff filed a First Amended Complaint with a request for a subpoena. (ECF No. 14.) The Court issued a Notice of Discrepancy rejecting the request for a subpoena because "Plaintiff is responsible for downloading the pre-issued subpoenas on the courts website and NOT the clerk." #15 In response, Plaintiff filed an Ex Parte Application asking the Court to take judicial notice of his subpoena. (ECF No. 16.) The Court is unclear as to whether Plaintiff is seeking a subpoena or intends to request a summons. In any case, an ex parte application is not the proper mechanism for requesting such documents. Thus, Plaintiffs Ex Parte Application #16 , is DENIED. The Court advises Plaintiff that the Federal Pro Se Clinic offers free information and guidance to individuals who are representing themselves in federal civil actions. Plaintiff is strongly encouraged to visit the Clinic or otherwise consult with an attorney prior to submitting any additional filings.(SEE DOCUMENT FOR DETAILS). (lc) |
