Wright, II: On April 22, 2022, the parties filed a Stipulation to continue the May 2, 2022 scheduling conference to a date after the Court decides Plaintiffs pending Motion to Remand and Defendants' forthcoming Motion to Compel Arbitration #19 . In the Stipulation, the parties essentially request a de facto stay of this case merely because there is a pending motion that could result in this case's remand. This is not good cause to modify the Court's schedule and delay the parties' obligations. If potentially dispositive pending motions were sufficient to justify indefinitely continuing the parties' obligations with the Court, almost all actions would be entitled to such continuances and the litigation would never progress. Accordingly, the Court DENIES the parties' Stipulation, (lc)
