ORDER GRANTING RENEWED THIRD STIPULATION TO EXTEND TIME TO RESPOND TO COMPLAINT #19 by Judge Fernando L. Aenlle-Rocha: On May 3, 2022, Defendant filed the fourth Joint Stipulation to Extend Time to Respond to Initial Complaint ("Fourth Stipulation"), requesting the court extend Defendant's deadline to file an Answer to the Complaint to May 23, 2022. Dkt. 19. According to Defendant, the Parties have met and conferred regarding informal discovery and have been in ongoing discussions regarding the potential resolution of this matter, and request the subject extension in the interests of judicial economy. The fact that the Parties are engaged in settlement negotiations is aloneinsufficient to establish good cause to continue pretrial dates and deadlines.Nevertheless, the court will exercise its discretion to GRANT the FourthStipulation and EXTEND Defendants deadline to respond to the Complaint toMay 23, 2022. The court, however, advises the parties that future requests for a continuance may be denied absent a specific showing of diligence. (lc)
