MINUTES OF IN CHAMBERS - ORDER RE PLAINTIFF'S "AMENDED COMPLAINT;" REQUEST FOR APPOINTMENT OF INVESTIGATOR; REQUEST FOR INJUNCTION by Judge Dolly M. Gee: On 4/19/2022 pro se Plaintiff Sonya Hunt filed what she titled "Complaint (Amendment)" #11 . The document is not actually an amended complaint, in that it does not state factual allegations or causes of action. The Court therefore will not construe it as an Amended Complaint, and it will not displace Plaintiff's Complaint as her operative pleading. Plaintiff's filing also includes a request for an appointment of an "investigator." There is no authority for the appointment of an investigator for civil plaintiffs, even indigent ones. Therefore, Plaintiff's request is DENIED. The Court is also aware of emails Plaintiff has sent to the CM/ECF helpdesk, evidently in an effort to reach the Court, regarding Plaintiff's request for an injunction she claims was pled in her Complaint. The Court cannot grant any injunctive relief without a properly noticed motion under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 65 and Local Rules 6-1, 7-3, 7-4, and 65-1. Court Reporter: Not Reported. (gk)
