MINUTES OF IN CHAMBERS - ORDER DECLINING TO EXERCISE SUPPLEMENTAL JURISDICTION OVER PLAINTIFF'S STATE LAW CLAIMS by Judge Dolly M. Gee: The Court ordered Plaintiff to show cause in writing why the Court should exercise supplemental jurisdiction over the Unruh Act claim asserted in the Complaint #11 . Having reviewed and considered Plaintiff's Response to the Court's Order to Show Cause #12 , the Court declines to exercise supplemental jurisdiction over the state law claims. In light of the comity concerns described in the Court's prior orders in similar cases, the Court determines that there are exceptional circumstances and compelling reasons under section 1367(c)(4) to refrain from exercising supplemental jurisdiction. The Court therefore dismisses the state law claims without prejudice. Court Reporter: Not Reported. (gk)

ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE WHY THE COURT SHOULD NOT DECLINE TO EXERCISE SUPPLEMENTAL JURISDICTION OVER PLAINTIFFS STATE LAW CLAIMS by Judge Dolly M. Gee. Plaintiff shall file a Response to this Order to Show Cause by October 17, 2022. Failure to timely or adequately respond to this Order to Show Cause may, without further warning, result in the Court declining to exercise supplemental jurisdiction over the Unruh Act claim, Californias Disabled Persons Act, Cal Civ. Code section 54, Californias Unfair Competition Act, Cal Bus & Prof Code section 17200, and Negligence, and the dismissal of any such claims pursuant to 28 U.S.C. section 1367(c). IT IS SO ORDERED.
