ORDER GRANTING PLAINTIFF'S MOTION FOR LEAVE TO FILE FIRST AMENDED COMPLAINT by Judge Stanley Blumenfeld, Jr.: Because the six factors support permitting amendment and substitution of the alleged perpetrator in place of a Doe defendant, Plaintiff's motion for leave to file an amended complaint #20 is GRANTED. Plaintiff is ORDERED to file the First Amended Complaint (FAC), proposed at Dkt. No. 20-1, by 6/28/2023. Once the FAC is filed, the Court will substitute the new Defendants. Because Plaintiff and the perpetrator Defendant are both citizens of California, the Court will then REMAND the case to Los Angeles County Superior Court and close the federal case. (gk)
