July 18, 2023 Opinion or Order Filing 12 MINUTES (IN CHAMBERS) ORDER IN AID OF SCREENING PRISONER COMPLAINT UNDER 28 U.S.C. 1915A by Magistrate Judge Steve Kim. For this reason, the warden of California State Prison, Los Angeles County, is ordered to make a special appearance solely to provide documentation to aid the courts screening of plaintiffs complaint under 1915A. Within 21 days of this order, the warden is ordered to file a notice of special appearance accompanied by a declaration (with exhibits as needed) from a CDCR custodian of record explaining the deposits and withdrawals in plaintiffs prison trust account between December 2020 and January 2021. That notice and declaration must be served on plaintiff with a proof of service. Meanwhile, no summons on the complaint may be issued until and unless the complaint is ordered officially served after the Courts 1915A screening. (SEE ORDER FOR DETAILS). (clee)
