MINUTES (IN CHAMBERS) Order re Motion to Consolidate and Motions for Appointment of Lead Plaintiff and Lead Counsel by Judge James V. Selna: For the foregoing reasons, the Court GRANTS the motion to consolidate and additionally orders the following: (1) the Clerk is directed to close Sharon Zhang v. STAAR Surgical Company, et al. (8:20-cv-01660-JVS-JDEx) ; and (2) all future filings shall be made in Nawaf Alwazzan v. STAAR Surgical Company, et al. (8:20-cv-01533-JVS-JDEx). The Court also GRANTS Mandas motion for appointment as lead plaintiff in the now consolidated action, and approves his reasonable choice of Pomerantz LLP as lead counsel. The Court finds that oral argument would not be helpful in this matter. Fed. R. Civ. P. 78; L.R. 7-15. Hearing set for November 16, 2020, is ordered VACATED. (Made JS-6. Case Terminated.) (es)
