ORDER RE JOINT STIPULATION REQUESTING STAY OF PROCEEDINGS #13 by Judge Wesley L. Hsu. The Court ORDERS as follows: 1. All proceedings in this action, including all formal discovery, hearings, briefings, appearances, and any other deadlines imposed by law or this Court, are stayed until March 6, 2025, to permit the parties to engage in settlement negotiations; 2. The Parties shall file a joint report regarding the status of settlement discussions no later than February 26, 2025; 3. If Defendant Thornton Steel fails to work in good faith to reach a mutually agreeable resolution with Coastkeeper as set forth in this Joint Stipulation Requesting Stay of Proceedings, then Defendant shall be prohibited from subsequently arguing in the litigation brought by Coastkeeper arising from the Notice Letter and Complaint that the litigation is barred by the mootness defense due to actions taken during the period of the stay; 4. Defendant Thornton Steel shall have up to and including March 27, 2025, to file a responsive pleading to Plaintiff's Complaint. (lom)
