MINUTE ORDER: ***TEXT ENTRY ONLY*** The Court is in receipt of Defendant Paul Weldon's pro se request for a 30-day extension of time to file a responsive pleading so he can locate and retain an attorney. (Doc. #6 .) Although Defendant Weldon's request is a handwritten note on the "Waiver of the Service of Summons" form and fails to comply with this Court's Local Rules for filing such requests including Local Rules 130, 133, and 144, in view of Defendant Weldon's pro se status, the Court construes this request as an ex parte request for an extension of time and ORDERS Plaintiff to file an opposition or statement of non-opposition by no later than November 27, 2018. The Court also notes that Plaintiff has not filed any proofs of service in this case as required by the Court's September 26, 2018, Order Setting Mandatory Scheduling Conference. (Doc. #5 (ordering Plaintiff to "promptly file proofs of service of the summons and complaint so the Court has a record of service").) Accordingly, Plaintiff is ORDERED to file the proofs of service by no later than November 27, 2018, signed by Magistrate Judge Sheila K. Oberto on 11/16/2018. (Kusamura, W)
