Sams v. Yahoo! Inc.
PLaintiff Fayelynn Sams alleged that Defendant Yahoo! Inc. violated the Stored Communications Act, 18 U.S.C. § 2701 and the federal Wiretap Act, 18 U.S.C. § 2510 by disclosing personal and private user data to law enforcement and other government entities without the users' knowledge or authorization and without proper compliance with the compelled disclosure provisions of the SCA and Wiretap Act.
