Plaintiff, the exclusive licensee of Metallica merchandise during the heavy metal group's concert tour, sued for an ex parte temporary restraining order before the band's August 31, 2001 San Francisco concert against more than 100 unknown, alleged 'John Doe' concert merchandise, bootleggers, even though "defendants are as yet specifically unidentified."
