Date Filed Document Text
June 8, 2026 Opinion or Order Filing 21 ORDER:Thompson likewise cannot raise any non-frivolous arguments to challenge the denial of his First Amendment retaliation claims because he did not show a causal connection between his grievances and the alleged retaliatory conduct. Brenes asked Thompson why he had filed so many grievances, but during that same appointment Brenes examined Thomspon and discussed possibilities of treatment. He also did not show any causal connection between his grievances and any conduct by Smith as the misconduct that he alleged was either rectified or did not prevent him from receiving medical care. Accordingly, Thompsons LTP motion is DENIED, and the appeal is DISMISSED.His motion to appoint counsel is DENIED as moot.
