Filing 29
ORDER (Clerk) On August 12, 2025, the appellant filed a 306-page opening brief and a motion to exceed the length limitations. After the federal appellees opposed her motion for overlength briefing, the appellant filed a new 9-page brief on August 26, 2026. (She filed a duplicate copy of the 9-page brief on August 29, 2025.) The Clerk asked the appellant to clarify whether her 9-page brief was intended to supplement or replace her earlier overlength brief. In response, the appellant filed two motions (ECF #26 and #27) explaining that the overlength brief was "filed by mistake and doesn't address the judgment [on appeal]." Those motions suggest the appellant wants the Court to accept her 9-page brief as the opening brief for this appeal. The appellant's motions at ECF #26 and #27 are GRANTED as follows. The appellant's 9-page brief at ECF #20, received on August 26, 2025, is hereby deemed the appellant's operative opening brief for this appeal. The appellant's other briefs (ECF #18 and #25) are therefore stricken. The appellant's other pending motions are now unnecessary, and no further action will be taken on them. The appellees' brief(s) must be filed and served within twenty-one days of this order. (EMA) [Entered: 09/08/2025 03:31 PM]

ORDER (Clerk) The foregoing motions are considered. Appellants motions to expedite briefing schedule and to proceed in forma pauperis are referred to a motions panel. If the Court determines that the appellant may proceed in forma pauperis, the Court will proceed to determine whether the appeal will be dismissed as legally frivolous under 28 U.S.C. Appellant may submit argument, not to exceed 5 pages, in support of the appeal. The document, with certificate of service, must be filed with the Clerk within 21 days of the date of this order. Appellee need not file a response unless directed to do so. The Court may reconsider in forma pauperis status or request additional information at any time during the course of these proceedings.
